Aerospace Sheet Metal Fabrication Equipment
The components coming off your machines go into aircraft, defense systems, satellites, and other structures where dimensional accuracy is a requirement, and the one thing every piece has in common is that it has to be accurate. Wysong aerospace sheet metal fabrication machines produce a wide range of work, from structural airframe components and satellite enclosures to interior brackets and system housings, with the consistency and control the aerospace industry requires.
Wysong Products
Why Aerospace Fabricators Choose Wysong Press Brakes
The aerospace press brake is one of the most critical machines in a fabrication shop serving this industry. Bend angle accuracy, springback control, and part-to-part repeatability directly affect whether a component passes inspection and makes it into an assembly. Wysong hydraulic and electric press brakes consistently deliver that level of precision throughout a full production run.
Our electric MS Series press brakes are a strong fit for the thin-gauge aluminum and stainless work that makes up a large share of aircraft sheet metal fabrication. Electric drives offer fast, precise ram control with excellent positioning accuracy, which is particularly valuable when working with materials that require careful management of springback.
For shops forming heavier structural components or running a wider range of gauges and materials, our hydraulic press brakes have CNC controls that support stored program recall and tight process documentation.
Our CNC press brake lineup for aerospace also offers precision forming at higher tonnage for shops that need it without giving up the control an electric drive provides.
Equipment for Every Stage of the Process
Aerospace metal forming involves multiple operations before a part is ready for assembly. Wysong covers each stage with purpose-built equipment.
Press Brakes
Press brakes form the brackets, frames, enclosure panels, stiffeners, and structural components that aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers depend on. Wysong’s full press brake lineup includes hydraulic and electric models, with CNC controls across the range for accurate, repeatable results on complex geometries:
- Hydraulic Press Brakes: MB Series (44 to 350 Ton), MC Series (110 to 550 Ton), MD Series (150 to 1,100 Ton)
- Electric Press Brakes: MS Series (25 to 110 Ton), ME Series (110 to 220 Ton)
- Heavy-Duty Press Brakes: 350 to 1,100 Ton, up to 30 ft. bed length
Fiber Lasers
Precision sheet metal fabrication in aerospace starts with accurate cuts. Wysong fiber lasers cut enclosure panels, bracket profiles, lightening holes, and complex part geometries from sheet stock with clean edges and tight dimensional control. Our A, F, and FM Series configurations cover a range of material thicknesses and production volumes.
Shears
Shears prepare sheet stock before forming, blanking material to size quickly and accurately. Wysong hydraulic (MB and MC Series) and mechanical shears are available in heavy-duty and high-speed configurations to fit your workflow and material requirements.
Finishing Machines
Parts headed into aerospace assemblies require clean edges and flat stock. Sharp burrs or surface inconsistencies that would be acceptable in other industries can affect fit, function, or safety in an aerospace application. Wysong’s range of finishing machines including deburring, leveling, and beveling machines get finished parts to that standard before they leave the shop.
Precision and Support You Can Count On
Wysong has been building metal fabrication equipment for over a century. The shops that rely on us for aerospace work value two things above all else: machines that hold their accuracy over time, and a support team that stands behind them. Every machine we ship goes through an average of 40 hours of quality assurance at our 110,000 sq. ft. facility in Greensboro, North Carolina, before it leaves the dock.
We understand that aerospace fabricators don’t have the luxury of working around equipment problems. When a machine is down or a process is off, production stops, and schedules slip. Wysong is here to keep your equipment running at full capacity for its full service life.
Whether you’re adding a press brake to handle a new program, replacing aging equipment, or building out a new production cell, our team will work with you to match the right machines to your production requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most aerospace bracket and enclosure forming involves thin-gauge aluminum or stainless steel, which means many shops can handle the bulk of their work in the 25 to 110 ton range. Wysong's electric MS Series is a common fit for this type of work, offering precise ram control and fast cycle times on lighter-gauge material. Shops forming thicker structural components or running a broader mix of gauges often benefit from a hydraulic press brake, which provides more tonnage range and flexibility across part types.
Wysong CNC press brakes deliver repeatable, accurate bending during production runs, which is a fundamental requirement in AS9100-certified environments. The CNC controls on our hydraulic and electric models make it straightforward to run consistent setups from part to part and job to job. That said, achieving and maintaining AS9100 certification involves your shop's full quality management system, documentation practices, and process controls. Wysong equipment is built to support that level of process control, but we'd encourage any shop working toward certification to work closely with their quality team on the full requirements.
Wysong fiber laser systems are well-suited for cutting aluminum alloys commonly used in aerospace, including 2024 and 6061 series materials. Fiber lasers are generally preferred over CO2 lasers for aluminum cutting because they're more efficiently absorbed by the material, producing cleaner cuts at faster speeds. Our A, F, and FM Series configurations cover a range of sheet thicknesses and production volumes, so shops can match the right system to the material gauges and output requirements of their programs
